Each year, the American giant Apple unveils its new generation of smartphones in September. In 2019, we were able to discover the new iPhone 11, which came alongside two Pro versions. This is intended to succeed the iPhone Xr - the least expensive model in the range of phones formalized in 2018.
It is therefore technically less efficient than the new iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, but that does not prevent it from being really excellent when it comes to value for money. Below you will find our iPhone 11 review, as well as the technical specifications and price of this new device.
It may be the last iPhone to feature an LCD screen - not OLED technology like the more premium (and more expensive) models do. This new iPhone 11 comes with the same technology as the iPhone Xr, but that certainly doesn't make it a "bad" phone.
As for the screen size, the LCD panel is 6.1 ″ diagonally, slightly larger than the iPhone 11 Pro (5.8 ″) and the same size as the iPhone XR. As for the screen definition of the iPhone 11, it remains exactly the same as for the model of the previous generation, namely 1792 x 828 px.
Whether from a technical or aesthetic point of view, the screen of this iPhone 11 is the same as that of the iPhone XR. Apple still hasn't made up its mind to remove the notch on the top of the screen - which penalizes the screen surface a bit. This notch hides the “selfie” photo sensor but also the Face ID technology (facial recognition) and the speaker. It must also be recognized that this is one of the few smartphones so premium to retain a long notch.
By keeping the notch on the iPhone 11, Apple sets itself apart from Huawei and Samsung - the two market leaders - who have decided to find alternatives. This is far from dramatic, and it does nothing to deal with navigation. Apple therefore does not want to compete with the screen-to-body ratio, and it leaves the cameras that “pop-up” or “bubbles” to its rivals. Now let's move on in our iPhone 11 review to the new colors available.
